Architectural Drafter – Seattle, WA
Stillwater Dwellings is a residential design firm specializing in high-end prefabricated contemporary homes. We are currently working on projects throughout the Western US. We are seeking a full-time Architectural Drafter with 5+ years of experience to add to our growing design studio team. The ideal candidate should have both a residential drafting and technical background. We are looking for an ambitious individual with a strong drive to learn, improve, and grow with us.
Responsibilities
- Utilize AutoCAD to draft and develop architectural drawings.
- Handle a fast-paced work schedule and maintain a high level of accuracy, while balancing multiple projects and priorities at any given time.
- Work in support of the Project Architect to ensure that projects are completed in a timely fashion.
- Assist the Design Studio with process improvement tasks including template revisions, CAD block development, layer management, and related tasks.
- Assist the Design Studio with drawings from concept design through construction documents.
Qualifications
- Architectural, Construction or Technical degree from an accredited collegiate institution.
- 3+ years of applicable drafting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Professional experience working on construction documents, especially high-end, single-family residential design and wood frame construction.
- Knowledge of residential building codes, standards, and procedures.
- Must be highly proficient in Auto CAD.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
Compensation
- Salary Range: $65,000 – $75,000 DOE

Project Architect – Seattle, WA
Stillwater Dwellings is a residential design firm specializing in high-end prefabricated contemporary homes. We are currently working on projects throughout the Western US. We are seeking a full-time Project Architect with 5+ years of experience to add to our growing design studio team. The ideal candidate should have both a strong design and technical background. We are looking for an ambitious individual with a strong drive to learn, improve, and grow with us. This position can be Remote Working if needed.
Responsibilities
- Programming and Project Research, including zoning review, code review, and permit requirements.
- Carry out project vision from the start of the schematic phase through to fabrication.
- Complete pricing and permitting sets on time and on budget.
- Must be capable of balancing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Manage correspondence with zoning and permitting jurisdictions.
- Manage client relationships. Good communication skills, verbally and graphically, is a must.
- Front consultant coordination efforts: both those contracted to Owner and those directly contracted to Stillwater Dwellings.
- Communicate well with other staff members.
- Observe and Identify areas of potential process, service, and product improvement.
Qualifications
- Accredited professional degree in Architecture (Bachelors or Masters of Architecture).
- Licensure is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience. Much of this experience should be in high-end, single-family residential design with wood frame construction.
- Must be proficient in Auto CAD and SketchUp.
- Must have strong knowledge and experience preparing permit and construction documents.
- Must have highly developed written as well as interpersonal skills.
- LEED Accreditation is a plus.

Controller / Business Manager – Seattle, WA
Stillwater Dwellings is a residential design firm specializing in high-end prefabricated contemporary homes. We are seeking a full time Controller / Business Manager. The candidate should have a minimum of 4 years as a Controller or Business Manager
Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial aspects of Stillwater Dwellings
- Provide timely revenue, expense and project reporting using percentage of completion, as well as other relevant financial information to owners.
- Analyze financial information and make necessary recommendations
- Monitor cash flow planning and forecasting throughout the year and assist with year-end planning.
- Administer bi-weekly payroll and annual bonuses
- Work independently on AP and coordinate with Office Manager to process all AR.
- File monthly, quarterly and annual business and payroll taxes for all applicable states and federal agencies.
- Work with company CPA to complete quarterly and end of year tax prep.
- Perform monthly functions of bank reconciliation and accounts payable/receivable.
- Monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, processing and filing of annual W2’s & 1099’s.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare adjusting journal entries.
- Manage company assets and record depreciation.
- Ensure annual property tax information is up to date and reporting is completed on time.
- Ensure use tax is reported on time and accurately.
- Work with 401k broker to complete annual censes and year-end testing calculations.
- Assist with annual budget planning.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
- 4+ years as a Controller or Business Manager.
- Maintains a professional demeanor, is work punctual.
- Demonstrates a commitment to working as collaborative team member.
- Is able to perform any day-today accounting duties, develop procedures, and teach same to new team members.
- Must be “hands on”, detail oriented, and highly organized.
- Possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, computer, written, and oral communication skills.
Compensation
- Salary Range $90,000 – $120,000 DOE
